In this training, we will gently explore and expand our awareness together. Through guided practice, we'll learn to attune to different levels of presence, moving toward a deeper sense of connection with the three main wellsprings of energy and awareness within us.

➔ The Belly (Hara): Our Center of Grounding and Vitality

Known as the hara in the Japanese tradition, this area is a powerful generator of ease and well-being. It senses the world around us, grounds us in the present moment and helps us feel nourished by our surroundings.

➔ The Heart-Lung Center: The Home of Feeling and Connection

This is the space that holds our courage, compassion, and capacity for love—as well as our vulnerability. In constant dialogue with our inner and outer worlds, each heartbeat, each breath is an offering of empathy and life.

➔ The Head: The Space of Clarity and Insight

This is the realm of intuition, understanding, and perspective. Here we cultivate clarity, notice the insights that come to us in their wordless language, and gently witness our thoughts without becoming entangled in them.

Throughout our training, we will practice stabilizing and opening awareness in each of these areas. We will then relax into a more expansive sense of presence—anchored within the harmonious field of these three centers, and gently extending our awareness out into the world.

Every day, we will work with movement, guided and silent meditations and exchange experiences with Marianne. There will be a solitaty or peer exercise every afternoon as well as the meditative deepening.

Bring comfortable clothes and your favorite meditation seat, if you have one.
