Dr. med. Andreas Krüger

Dr. Andreas Krüger, MD, born 1964, a psychiatrist working with children and adolescents and trauma therapist, established the trauma outpatient clinic for children, adolescents and their families at the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf. He heads the Institute for Child and Adolescent Psychotraumatology in Hamburg (www.ipkj.de) and is the medical director of "Ankerland e. V.- Hilfe für traumatisierte Kinder" in support of traumatized children (www.ankerland.org). He is a university lector at Alice-Salomon-Hochschule in Berlin and the author of numerous publications around the theme, i. a. with Prof. Luise Reddemann. Krüger's main focus is on treating psychologically traumatized children and adolescents and their families. He applies an integrative trauma therapy approach which involves systematic crosslinking of various forms of assistance available as well as trainings and further trainings for therapists, medical doctors, police officers, rescue teams, pastoral workers and educators. Together with Luise Reddemann, he developed the PITT-KID treatment method.
